Peter Tsai, MD

Dr. Peter Tsai is a board-certified Orthopaedic Hand Surgeon and a respected expert on nerve entrapment syndromes such as carpal tunnel syndrome, cubital tunnel syndrome, trigger fingers, fractures, elbow pain, and other issues. After graduating magna cum laude from Brown University, Dr. Tsai attended medical school at New York University and pursued his residency at one of the top ten orthopedic hospitals in the country, the New York University Hospital for Joint Diseases. To hone his hand and upper-extremity surgery skills, Dr. Tsai completed a fellowship at the University of Pennsylvania. Though many hand and arm issues are managed nonoperatively, Dr. Tsai’s surgical experience and training coupled with his commitment to patient care optimizes the operative result. After founding Upper Hand Orthopaedics in 2012, Dr. Tsai also co-founded Waverly Lake Surgery Center, a free-standing ambulatory surgery center to deal with patients’ needs in an efficient, skilled way. He is excited to work with you in order to achieve the best possible outcome.

In his free time, Dr. Tsai enjoys spending time with his family and playing tennis. He is the head coach of the Crescent Valley High School tennis team, who recently placed second in state in the 2023 season. Go Raiders!
